The monastic day is based on a regular timeline which on one hand follows the precepts of the Rule of S. Benedict and on the other hand take care of the characteristics of the single community. Time is basically dedicated to prayer and work, on the tipycal benedectine inspiration, in a spirit of fraternity. The monastery is a place of communion of life in Christ, so that it make more visible the communal and ecumenical nature of the Church.

Monks stay joined with the whole uman community through a deep communion with Christ, sharing joys, problems, hopes, in a costant dedication to pray the Father in a radical conversion of life.

Liturgy is especially the preferencial way towards God; the heart of liturgy is Eucharist, memorial of the sacrifice of Christ.

From this liturgy spread through all the hours of the day in the canonical divine office, sacrifice of praise of the Church.

This is the very soul of monastic life, a path where doesn’t lack difficulties, but as S. Benedict says, “our hearts shall be enlarged, and we shall run with unspeakable sweetness of love into the way of God’s commandments” (St. Benedict, The Rule, Prologue).
